Am I eligible?

Many enhanced services are offered free of charge. For certain enhanced services,which will be discussed with you by the Employment Assistance counselors, the following eligibility requirements must be met:

  • You must currently be on EI, or have had an EI claim in the last 3 years or a Maternity/Parental Leave claim in the last 5 years.
  • You must be referred by a Service Canada funded Counsellor (available at the Work Zone) and have a return to work action plan
  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada

What can I expect?

  • An initial one hour consultation with a qualified employment consultant
  • An exploration of limitations and strengths for realistic goal setting
  • Assessment Testing to help you determine your career options
  • Referrals to appropriate resources and agencies
  • Ongoing support/guidance with achieving your action plan
  • Referral to community resources
