TARGETED WAGE SUBSIDIES PROGRAM

Hey Employers!
Are you hiring?  You may qualify for a wage subsidy that pays up to 50% of your new employees wages!  We can help offset the cost of training a new employee.  You give the employee a chance to gain experience and become a valuable asset to your team!  Call us before you hire!! 

Hey Workers!
Finding it difficult to get hired due to not having the required training or Skills? We can help with a wage subsidy provided to your new employer while you are learning. If you are eligible, call us and see if we can help place you with an employer willing to let you gain the experience you require!!!


Program Objectives:


Finding work and benefitting from on-the-job experience; and

  • To assist unemployed Employment Insurance eligible individuals experiencing difficulty in finding employment
  • To enable employers to hire individuals who require training by offering temporary wage subsidies, during their initial training period
  • To assist unemployed Employment Insurance eligible individual to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment resulting in savings to the Employment Insurance Account.

Eligible participants are individuals looking for work:

  • For whom an unemployment benefit period has been established or has ended within the 36 months prior to the date of requesting assistance;
For whom a benefit period that included a maternity or parental claim within the 60 months prior to the date of requesting assistance, after which the individual remained out of the labour market in order to care for a newborn or newly adopted child and is now seeking to re-enter the labour force. Other criteria may apply.
